Barbara G. Stephenson

Barbara G. Stephenson

BARBARA G. STEPHENSON brings more than 30 years’ employment law experience representing public and private employers throughout New Mexico. Barbara has extensive experience in working to keep clients out of litigation through training, pre-termination counseling, developing strategies and action plans, and writing, revising, and reviewing employer policies and employee handbooks. She also has expertise in performing workplace investigations into allegations of harassment and discrimination.

Barbara currently limits her practice to consulting on employment matters with her Sutin colleagues, providing a direct benefit to both clients and the firm. Because she remains an integral part of the employment law team in a consultative role, Barbara is able to expedite legal research and offer the firm’s other lawyers immediate access to her wealth of knowledge and experience in the aforementioned areas of expertise as well as in representing clients before the New Mexico Human Rights Bureau, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.
