September 29, 2017

Benchmark, a prestigious legal publication focusing on litigation, has once again recognized Sutin, Thayer & Browne as one of only five Highly Recommended law firms in New Mexico. The national directory’s review was published September 29, 2017:

“Founded in 1946, Sutin Thayer & Browne today stands as one of the state’s most visible and respected firms. Peers acknowledge the firm as ‘definitely a player in this area’ and client praise is equally robust. One particularly appreciative client elaborates on the firm’s qualities:  “…We anticipate being a life-long client. We respect the firm’s reputation and ease of dealing with.”

The guide also recognized four litigators in the firm:  Andrew J. Simons and Benjamin E. Thomas, named as a local litigation stars, as well as Mariposa Padilla Sivage and Justin R. Sawyer.

Benchmark specifically praised Mr. Thomas:

“In particular, clients cheer for Benjamin E. Thomas, a commercial and employment litigator who works out of the Albuquerque and Santa Fe offices. Thomas fulfills his forecasted star status this year on the strength of numerous plaudits. One client extols, ‘Ben Thomas is a straight shooter and easy to talk with about various topics. He has helped us in a variety of areas, contracts, employment issues, litigation and just basic business issues. He is concerned about his fees, customer service and most of all, my firm. We have used various attorneys over the years, some are equal in some respects, but none gave us the one-stop service that we need, like Ben and the attorneys at Sutin.’ Another raves, ‘Benjamin Thomas has impressed us. He really cares for our company. He goes beyond his professional duties to help us, and we trust his suggestions 100%. His decisions are value-driven and completely balanced. They are a synergistic team. Ben reaches to his team and they decide the best person to handle our issues. They also have very high ethical standards. They are people-oriented and are able to deal with cultural polarities between us and our parent company in Italy.’ ”

Now in its 11th year of publication, Benchmark covers the litigation and disputes market in North America. Recognitions are not simply a firm promotional opportunity. Peer review is essential to the integrity of the research process. The original publication, Benchmark Litigation—the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys—is the only publication to focus exclusively on U.S. litigation.
