Katharine C. Downey, a member of the firm’s litigation group, has earned her AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Downey has been with Sutin, Thayer & Browne since 2013 and practices primarily in employment law, bankruptcy, creditor rights and education law. She has assisted clients in employment disputes and policy matters, has represented financial institutions in lender liability defense cases, and has protected creditor rights in and out of bankruptcy. She has presented seminars on the topic of the Affordable Care Act to attorneys and human resource professionals alike. She is a member of the American Bar Association as well as the New Mexico State Bar’s Bankruptcy Law Section and Young Lawyers Division and serves on the board of the Albuquerque Bar Association.
