The annual Health Law Symposium, sponsored by the State Bar of New Mexico and the Health Law Section, is set for Friday, October 12, 2018, at the State Bar Center in Albuquerque. This annual all-day event has become an important gathering of lawyers and healthcare professionals, and this year offers sessions on a number of interesting topics in health law and the healthcare industry, including consumer protections and the law, HIPAA and security, discrimination in healthcare and ACA Section 1557, and more. Sutin attorney Stefan R. Chacón, who serves as the State Bar’s Health Law Section chairman, is featured on the symposium faculty. On-site participants are invited to a post-symposium reception hosted by Sutin, Thayer & Browne at the Marriot Pyramid.
