Sutin, Thayer & Browne is pleased to welcome Liliana Benitez De Luna to its litigation group.
Lily joins the firm as a new attorney, sworn in to the State Bar of New Mexico on September 25, 2018. She focuses her work primarily on creditor rights and bankruptcy matters.
Most recently, Lily worked with the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C., analyzing and researching legal issues relating to applicable federal regulatoin and assisting in the development of the fifth International Broadband Data Report. Before that, as a law student at University of New Mexico, Lily worked with the Economic Justice Legal Clinic managing a caseload of matters involving employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and business law.
Lily served as a summer associate with Sutin, Thayer & Browne in 2016 and 2017, and she clerked with the Honorable Jennifer L. Attrep in the First Judicial District of New Mexico in 2017. She also has served as a law clerk with the Southwest Women’s Law Center, as an education mentor/tutor with the College Enrichment and Outreach Programs in Albuquerque, and as a language and culture assistant in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in Madrid, Spain.
