Bruckner Appointed to Hearing Officer Selection Panel

Albuquerque tax attorney Suzanne Wood Bruckner recently was selected to chair the State’s Chief Hearing Officer Selection Committee. Duties include chairing committee meetings to select a chief hearing officer for a new independent administrative hearings office that will hear tax appeals. Ms. Bruckner assisted with passage of the 2015 legislation establishing an administrative hearings office independent of the Taxation and Revenue Department to create a fairer appeals process for New Mexico taxpayers. Ms. Bruckner is both a certified public accountant and tax lawyer, servings as tax counsel for Sutin, Thayer & Browne.
