Thayer has been appointed to the Judicial Standards Commission by the Board of Bar Commissioners of the State Bar Association, beginning July 1, 2010. The Commission is a state agency that presides over complaints against judges. Mr. Thayer has been a member of the Code of Judicial Conduct Committee and The Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of New Mexico, and was a member of the Governor’s 2007 Task Force on Ethics Reform.
