Sutin, Thayer & Browne sponsored and staffed a recent pro bono Civil Legal Clinic at New Mexico Legal Aid, serving 31 clients in three hours with a wide variety of legal issues. The volunteer attorneys were Breanna Houghton, Justin Sawyer, Keith Mier, Benjamin Thomas, Mariposa Padilla Sivage, Chuck Piechota and Susan Chappell. Sutin legal assistant Carla Garcia and longtime Legal Aid volunteers Billy Burgett and Susan Page also advised a number of clients.
“The Clinic seemed to flow especially well, and we had many compliments and thanks from the people we helped,” Paul Haidle, Director of Volunteer Attorney and Statewide Pro Bono Programs, said. “We had a great turnout from Sutin attorneys and staff. You all set the bar very high for future clinics, and we greatly appreciate the work you do to support pro bono efforts in New Mexico.”
