JAY D. ROSENBLUM is a senior lawyer with Sutin, Thayer & Browne, one of New Mexico’s leading law firms. Jay served as President and CEO of the firm for eighteen years, from 2000 through 2017. Jay’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, business design, estate planning, corporate work, succession planning and philanthropic legal matters. In 2017 the State Bar of New Mexico’s Business Law Section honored Jay as Business Lawyer of the Year, and in 2023 Best Lawyers named Jay as Lawyer of the Year in Mergers and Acquisitions. Jay is a recipient of the Zia Award, a recognition annually given to distinguished alumni of the University of New Mexico. Jay has served on numerous charitable and philanthropic boards during his career. Jay’s avocation is playing bass for New Mexico’s western swing band, the Curio Cowboys, and its various swing and country offshoots. The Curios were winners of New Mexico Music Awards for Best Instrumental Songs in 2017 and 2020.
