Sutin, Thayer & Browne has announced the promotion of three employees, the latest in the Firm’s lengthy history of promoting from within:
- Samantha R. Maestas has been promoted to Lead Legal Assistant and Paralegal, a position that was created within the Firm. She will be responsible for training and development of the Firm’s legal assistants, as well as providing coaching throughout the various stages of their careers with Sutin. Samantha joined the firm in 2016 and is an experienced litigation paralegal with a background in creditor rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, garnishments, collections, replevins, and Navajo law.
- Pauline V. Archuleta has been promoted to Litigation Paralegal, where she supports wrongful death and other insurance defense cases by reviewing medical records, preparing medical chronologies, and drafting pleadings. She brings nearly 20 years’ legal experience, including significant work in healthcare law, to her role at Sutin, where she has been employed since 2018. Pauline earned her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Albuquerque Technical Vocation Institute, now CNM, in 2004.
- Nicolle R. Aragon has been promoted to Accounting Manager. Her new duties include developing the firmwide budget and interim financial statements, calculating Gross Receipts Taxes and payroll, reviewing attorney compensation packages, and cross-training the rest of the accounting team. Nicolle joined Sutin in 2000, beginning as Payroll and A/R Clerk, and earning a series of promotions throughout her tenure with the Firm. She most recently served as Accounting Supervisor.
