Robert J. Johnston, a lawyer with Sutin, Thayer & Browne, and his wife, Jazmine Johnston, a lawyer with the Atler Firm, coached both Albuquerque High School teams to top-eight finishes in this year’s Gene Franchini High School Mock Trial Competition, with the AHS Green Team taking second place overall. The wins send both the AHS Green and White teams to the state championship in late March. More than 30 teams competed in the qualifying rounds, which were held in a virtual format for the first time this year.
2021 members are Henry Pontzer, Joey Greenberg, Via Woodard, Liliana Madrid Larrañaga, Lorena Madrid Larrañaga, Luke Picha, Kaya Perce, Leila Cowan, Shosha Wheeler, Agustín Leon-Saenz, Symmes Cannon, and Jacob Sussman.
